Transforming Spaces for Nonprofits
One of our most rewarding projects was renovating the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Marin’s Free Dining Room in San Rafael. In partnership with Tamalpais Paint & Color, we donated our painting services to refresh this vital community resource. This dining hall serves thousands of meals to individuals experiencing homelessness and food insecurity, and we were honored to help create a more welcoming space for those in need.
We also had the opportunity to refresh a Lifehouse residence in Corte Madera, a home for individuals with developmental disabilities. This project held special meaning for our team, as we have personal ties to the special needs community. Our goal was to ensure the residents had a bright, uplifting environment that reflects the care and support they receive.
Supporting Industry & Education
Kunst Painting is proud to support local industry organizations that help our trade and community thrive. In 2024, we partnered with Sherwin-Williams to revitalize the Marin Builders Association (MBA) headquarters, giving the space a much-needed refresh. The MBA serves as a key resource for local contractors and businesses, and we were happy to contribute our expertise.
Beyond hands-on work, we also sponsor community events, including the Marin Builders Annual Crab Feed, the organization’s largest fundraiser. By underwriting event costs, we help maximize scholarship funds for local students pursuing careers in the trades. Supporting the next generation of builders is something we deeply believe in.
Promoting Inclusivity in Sports
Kunst Painting is a proud supporter of Miracle League North Bay, an inclusive baseball league and playground in Petaluma that provides children and adults with disabilities a safe place to play. Our company not only contributed financially but also plays an active role in leadership, with our company president, John Busick, serving on the board. It’s a cause we’re passionate about, ensuring everyone has the chance to enjoy the game.
A Commitment to Community
Our commitment to giving back extends beyond painting. Our leadership team dedicates time to serving on the boards of organizations like the Down Syndrome Connection, Una Vida, and Bombers Baseball.
